Zachary Galifianakis

Zachary Knight Galifianakis (Greek pronunciation: October 1, 1969) was an American comedian, actor musician, writer, and comedian. He was a comic, actor and host of Late World with Zach (VH1) Galifianakis was in several films like The Hangover trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010) and The Campaign (2012). He also appeared in Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance (2014) and Masterminds (2016). Galifianakis has also voiced characters for animated films like Puss in Boots (2011). The Lego Batman Movie (2017). Missing Link (2019). Ron's Gone The Wrong Way (2021). Galifianakis is currently hosting of Funny or Die's talk show Between Two Ferns, with Zach Galifianakis. He was the main character in FX's show Baskets. In the year 2017 his nomination was for win the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Lead Actor for a Comedy Series. Zachary Knight Galifianakis was a native of Wilkesboro, North Carolina on October 1, 1969. His mother is English and Scottish-Irish, while his paternal grandparents hail from Crete. He was baptized in his father's Greek Orthodox faith. He has Merritt an older sister and Greg, a brother older than him. His cousin is Washington Post cartoonist Nick Galifianakis, while his uncle, also named Nick Galifianakis, is a politician. Galifianakis attended Wilkes Central High School, and subsequently attended North Carolina State University, where he majored in communications. While at university was working for a public access station. He taught the waltz class, in 1991 when he walked into a meeting with Mary J. Blige. Following his debut on television Boston Common, Galifianakis joined Saturday Night Live for two weeks. He's said "I worked on Saturday Night Live for two weeks.
