Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, on the 7th of September, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a theatre actor as well as writer and director) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her mother and actress. Her older brothers include Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David Wood IV who are also actors. Evan and her brothers have performed at Theatre In The Park, Raleigh, where her father serves as the director. At the age of five, she auditioned to play the character in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). She relocated to Los Angeles with her mom and brother Ira in 1996 . She's enjoyed success since then, appearing in a TV show, TV film as well as feature films. She was in Practical Magic (1998) and starred in the comedic S1m0ne (2002) as Al Pacino's daughter, and was then in Thirteen (2003) featuring Holly Hunter.
